Dr. John Shepard, DDS
John C. Shepard is a native of West Monroe, Louisiana. He graduated from West Monroe High School in 1973, Louisiana Tech University in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in zoology, LSU School of Dentistry in 1981 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He is a current active member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. Shepard was a delegate, legislative committee chairman, and speaker of the house for the Louisiana Dental Association. He also served as past president of the Northeast Dental Association. Dr. Shepard is very active in our community, serving on the board of directors of the West Monroe Boys and Girls Club, a member of the West Monroe Civitan Club, and is an active member of First Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher. Dr. Shepard continues to attend dental seminars learning the latest techniques and using the most updated technology to better serve his patients with optimal dental care. Cosmetic and implant dentistry continue to be the most advancing areas of dentistry and he has attended many hours of Continuing Education in this area. Dr. Shepard is married to Gayle, who serves as one our hygienists, and has two sons Clinton and Grant.
